Gmail FINALLY Has Drag & Drop Attachments

I’ve been waiting for this feature from Google for a long time.  Yeah, the other lab features such the forgotten attachment detector are fine, but this newly rolled out feature should have been implemented years ago.   I guess it’s better late than never though.  All you need to do is drag and drop your prospective files from one window to the e-mail and you’re good to go!

G-Mail Attachments

Unfortunately it only works with Firefox and Google Chrome.  Find more info about it at Google’s Blog.

And I KNOW ya’ll like signature I have ;-)  It's courtesy of WiseStamp, a Firefox Add on. It adds HTML signatures to e-mail services such as Gmail, Thunderbird and Hotmail/Windows Live. My less formal signature features my Xbox 360 Avatar.

An Improved Firefox Browser?

Pale Moon

It looks like Firefox, uses parts of Firefox, uses all of your add-ons that you already have installed on Firefox…but it’s not Firefox.  It’s called The Pale Moon Project.  Pale Moon is “custom-built and optimized Firefox browsers for Windows Operating Systems (pale moon project homepage).”  The site also claims that the browser is 25% faster than Firefox.  Now I LOVE my Firefox and didn’t want to get rid of it, which is why I haven’t switched to Google Chrome.  After installing Pale Moon I did experience a noticeable speed increase in the loading of web pages.  The browser looks exactly like my Firefox browser, including all 40+ add-ons I had installed in it.  However, my favorite improvement that I have found revolves around playing videos (especially Flash videos).  I’m not the only Firefox user who has experienced Flash videos stuttering every 3 seconds or so.  It even happens to those with an absurd amount memory.  When playing Flash videos on Pale Moon I experience little to skipping in Flash videos and they also load faster.  For those of you who don’t want to part with Firefox, I highly recommend that you give Pale Moon a try.  After installing it yesterday, I don’t even open Firefox anymore.

Welcome to The Tech Temple!

Welcome to The Tech Temple! I'm Jared, a technology enthusiast as well as a consumer like the rest of us. I read all of these technology websites and felt that having my own blog would be the best way to get my thoughts out about current trends in technology as well as products that are up and coming. It'd also be nice to get opinions of other people and get some good discussion going on, so let's hope all goes well!

If it weren't for the fact that it's 2:24 in the morning I'd write about something other than this intro, but moving into a new place has sapped all of my energy. So for now, all I have to say is hold up on purchasing that iPad! At the very least least, check out HP's Slate that is coming out soon. Peep the video below. Simply put, it shows all of the things the Slate does that the iPad can't. I am
not an Apple hater! :-) Apple has wonderful innovation and has revolutionized the technological world in many ways. I'll I'm sayin' is, don't be mad at me when you pay $600 for something that doesn't allow you to browse the web and listen to your vast music collection.
